Megan Southern

Megan Southern is an attorney at Warner Law Offices, bringing over a decade of legal experience and a deep commitment to client advocacy. A native of St. Albans, West Virginia, Megan earned her B.A. in Criminology with a minor in Political Science from West Virginia University before obtaining her law degree in Charlotte, North Carolina. Following law school, she returned to West Virginia and now lives in Hurricane with her husband, Collin, their son, Houston, and their two dogs. She currently serves as President of the Cabell County Bar Association and maintains a strong presence in both Huntington and Charleston.

Before joining Warner Law, Megan spent nine years at prominent defense firms, including Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP and Jenkins Fenstermaker, PLLC. She also spent three years as a litigation paralegal before becoming a licensed attorney—an experience that shaped her practical, detail-driven approach to legal work. Megan has represented clients in a wide range of civil litigation matters, including wrongful death, sexual harassment, employment law, financial services disputes, government liability, personal injury, workplace accidents, and real estate litigation. Her background gives her a unique perspective, allowing her to anticipate defense strategies and fight more effectively for those who have been wronged.

In recognition of her professional accomplishments, Megan was named a 2025 Rising Star by Super Lawyers. She is also active in her community and has both participated in and coordinated her prior firms’ involvement in a Women Build Week event, a Habitat for Humanity initiative that empowers women to contribute to affordable housing solutions.

Megan is known for her passion, dedication, and tenacity—qualities that consistently lead to positive outcomes for her clients. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, working out, reading, and indulging her love of reality TV.
